The Beauty of Historical Deconstruction

A historical deconstruction provides a history of a construct. It may explicate conceptual relationships but should do so without the use of totalizing&limbic loaded words.

The beauty of historical deconstruction is that its methods are additive instead of subtractive. It aims to help one understand a conceptual framework rather than renounce it. A hegemonic cultural environment can certainly predispose one to discard a framework as inappropriate and thus irrelevant, but this comes at a cost to synaptic activation and eventually results in a loss of neurons due to pruning.

Not only is the net change in overall performance from additive argumentation than from subtractive argumentation more positive1, but additive argumentation lays the foundation for one who is persuaded to similarly persuade others by reason alone.
